Diane D. Miller, President and CEO of Wilcox Miller & Nelson, will speak at the National Association of Corporate Directors’ (NACD) Director Professionalism Course. Miller will speak on “Tying It All Together: 8 Habits of Highly Effective Boards,” during the NACD course this week in Washington D.C. Wilcox Miller & Nelson is the Sacramento office of Career Partners International, a leading global provider of outplacement, career transition, executive coaching and other talent management services.
NACD Director Professionalism Courses cover all of the fundamental skills that directors need to be successful board members. The course, which takes place over two days, is highly interactive and led by accomplished directors and corporate governance experts located throughout the United States. The agenda for the November 9-10 course includes a mixture of panel discussions, case studies, keynote presentations and networking opportunities for attendees.
“Board governance is under increasing scrutiny; whether in the for-profit or non-profit world,” commented Miller. “Directors who make a practice of constant governance education rank at the top in terms of creating a board culture that maximizes opportunities and appropriately deals with risk.”
The November NACD Director Professionalism Course will be held at the Four Seasons, Washington in Washington D.C., on November 9-10, 2015. Miller’s presentation will take place from 1:15pm – 2:15pm on November 10.
