Career Partners International (CPI), one of the largest career management consultancies in the world, took part in the 3rd Annual International HR Conference in Barcelona earlier this month. Terry Gillis, President & Managing Partner of CPI’s London, Canada office spoke to nearly 200 CEOs and HR Directors from around the world at the Palau de la Música Catalana on October 7.
The conference focused on the future of work, innovation in human resources, digitalization, and young entrepreneurship. As a human resources expert, Gillis discussed the revolution he predicts in the industry. His presentation focused on the change coming in the workplace as millennials will make up 75% of the workforce in the next ten years.
“Let’s stop talking about people as our greatest assets, and start talking about them as our greatest investments.” Gillis encouraged the audience.
The Canadian leader also emphasized the importance of overcoming status quo and staying determined on positive change. He made strong points on the mutual return on investment and transparency both employers and employees seek in today’s workforce. Gillis places huge value on employees and believes human resources should be focused on high engagement within organizations.
The International HR Conference, hosted by CPI’s Spanish offices, will continue in Barcelona for a fourth year on October 6, 2017. Visit hrconference.advantageconsultores.com for upcoming information regarding the featured speakers and topics of focus to come in the next year.
